Notice is hereby given for a PUBLIC HEARING to be held before the Manhattan Town Council on August 10, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Meeting Room located at 207 S 6th St, Manhattan, Montana.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to discuss the Conditional Use Permit to install a modular duplex at 116 Branch St, Manhattan, MT.  The applicant is the owner of the property, Charles Briggs III, PO Box 897, 702 W Park, Manhattan, MT 59741.

All pertinent information regarding this hearing may be reviewed at the Manhattan Town Office at 207 S 6th St. between the hours of 8:30 and 5:00.  
 
Written comments may be submitted to the Manhattan Town Office, PO Box 96, Manhattan, MT  59741-0096.  
At the public hearing testimony will be taken in support of and in opposition to the subject.  If there are any questions, please call the Town Office at 406-284-3235.

FISCAL BUDGET 2017-18
            

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION FOR FISCAL BUDGET 2017-2018.

The Town of Manhattan has completed its preliminary annual budget.
A public hearing will be held on August 10, 2017, at 7:00 PM in the Town Meeting Room located at 207 S 6th St. in the Town of Manhattan, Montana to hear testimony in support of or in opposition to the resolution adopting the Budget for Fiscal 2017-18.  Any taxpayer or resident may appear and be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget.
The preliminary Fiscal 17-18 Budget is available for public inspection at the Town Office between the hours of 8:30 -5:00 Monday-Friday.  If there are any questions about the preliminary budget, contact Pam Humphrey, Clerk/Treasurer at 284-3235.  Written comments are acceptable and will be entered into the record during the public hearing.  Mail written testimony to Town of Manhattan, PO Box 96, Manhattan, MT 59741, email to townofmanhattan@gmail.com, or deliver to the Town Office, 207 S 6th St, Manhattan, MT.

STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 2017-18
            

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION FOR ASSESSING THE STREET LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018.

The purpose of the street lighting maintenance district is to provide necessary funds through assessments for maintaining lights, electrical service and electrical current to the Street Lighting Maintenance District in the Town of Manhattan.  
A copy of the Resolution with a list of assessments, a list of lots, parcels and property owners are in the Town Office located at 207 S 6th St, Manhattan, MT.  
You are further notified that it is anticipated that the approximate cost for the project is $36,000.  The average annual assessment for this fiscal year for the street lighting maintenance district is $53.49.
A public hearing will be held on August 10, 2017, at 7:00 PM in the Town Meeting Room located at 207 S 6th St in the Town of Manhattan, Montana to hear testimony in support of or in opposition to the resolution assessing the street lighting maintenance assessments, the formula for the assessment and the amount of the assessments.

STREET MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 2017-18
            

NOTICE OF RESOLUTION FOR ASSESSING THE STREET MAINTENANCE DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018.

The purpose of the street maintenance district is to provide the necessary funds through assessments for sprinkling, graveling, oiling, chip sealing, seal coating, overlaying, treating, general cleaning, sweeping, flushing, snow removal, leaf and debris removal, the operation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems, the repair of traffic signs, the placement and maintenance of pavement markings, curb and gutter repair, and minor sidewalks in the Town of Manhattan.  
A copy of the Resolution with a list of assessments, a list of lots, parcels and property owners are in the Town Office located at 207 S 6th St, Manhattan, MT.  
You are further notified that it is anticipated that the approximate cost for the project is $84,000.  The average annual assessment for this fiscal year for the street lighting maintenance district is $124.81.  This figure is an increase of 0% from the prior year.
A public hearing will be held on August 10, 2017, at 7:00 PM in the Town Meeting Room located at 207 S 6th St in the Town of Manhattan, Montana to hear testimony in support of or in opposition to the resolution assessing the street lighting maintenance assessments, the formula for the assessment and the amount of the assessments.
