ALL ARE WELCOME IN MANHATTAN MONTANA,
THE HEART OF THE GALLATIN VALLEY!
The Town of Manhattan is known for its hometown atmosphere and great school system. This is exactly why my wife and I decided to bring our 2 daughters here some years ago and call Manhattan home. It’s no secret anymore that Manhattan is on the verge of expediential growth. At this time there has been 1287 lots approved, both residential and commercial clearly demonstrating the desirability of Manhattan as a place to raise families and start new business. We are taking a proactive approach to the upcoming growth and are currently building a new mechanical wastewater treatment facility along with the plans for a water tower and water meters. We also require all new subdivisions to curb, gutter, sidewalk and pave their streets, along with dedicating a portion of land for parks and trails.
Parks are located throughout Manhattan with something for all ages, including baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, horse shoe pits and a variety of playground equipment. Walking trails connect to our sidewalk system encouraging pedestrian traffic and relaxing walks throughout our great town. A two-mile paved walking trail with bridges over Baker Creek and the Gallatin River was completed late last year for added walking enjoyment. It is my goal to nurture the core of Manhattan and maintain and improve the overall structure of Manhattan for the next generations while keeping the hometown atmosphere.
